Simple Living Interview with Enjoy Life Slowly

by 8 Permalink 0

Hello friends!

I hope you are doing well. Sometimes I try to picture the readers of Smallish and wonder what your lives look like this week, what your highs and lows are, and what intentionally living small means to you. Right now I’m saying a little prayer for each of you. Just because.

Earlier this week I had the pleasure of chatting with Laura and Mark, who run the website Enjoy Life Slowly. They are doing an amazing job of documenting slow, simple, minimalist living through personable and interesting interviews with bloggers in the field. I truly enjoyed talking with them (and that is only a fraction because I loved hearing their accents). 🙂 What kind, genuine, warm, insightful people!

Brew a cup of something steaming and join me for a little listen on simple living/working toward minimalism with kids and more.

You can hear the full discussion at this direct link. Or if that doesn’t work, visit the Interviews page here. Click on “Evelyn” in the Simple Living section to access the interview recording.

Thank you, Mark and Laura, for including me in your series. If I was where you are right now, I’d probably say that I am “well chuffed” to have had the opportunity to visit with you! 🙂

And you know we had such a great time chatting with you Evelyn. You gave us so much to think about. It was a super fun time that went all too quickly. Please can we do it again sometime soon – you know we would be ‘well-chuffed’ indeed 🙂

I stumbled upon your website and I appreciate you sharing your thoughts and life with others, especially being motivated by the Lord Jesus to minimize and focus on what really matters most = relationships. We are soon to be a family of 8 and I homeschool which brings about extra challenges. Since last July we have been living in hotels and with family since our home was flooded with sewage and there were delays. The house is too small for us, but this living on the edge has caused me to rethink my life, priorities and shed alot of worldly possessions, albeit, many have sentamental attachments, but the burden of managing so many has really put me in the face of reality of how can I serve God when I am always so bogged down with all the burdens of this world around me. Thanks for sharing and inspiring me and others! The Lord Bless You!

Wow. Jennifer, your comment blesses me so much! Thanks for sharing your heart and situation. It sounds like the Lord is using a difficult situation to open your eyes and train your heart as He tends to do. I am sure it’s not easy, but I can tell that He is making you more like Him! <3
